Breeding
We are standing Jet Chex King, a 2014 Grullo Stallion by Double King Duke Jr and Double Ginger Honey. We are offering live cover and AI services.
2024 Stallion Breeding Fee: $300.00 + $50 Non-Refundable Booking Fee
- Booking fee is due immediately in order to reserve a time-frame for your mare.
- Breeding fee must be paid up front, before Live Cover or AI services

- We accept Cash, Check, Credit Card, and Pay Pal. Once your booking fee is paid, a personalized contract will be created and you will have until your mare is dropped off or you order your shipment to get it back to us and pay the remaining amount of your breeding fees.

Mare Care is offered with our services for an additional fee.
Standard Daily Rates
- Dry Mares (no foal) $10.00 per day
- Wet mares (With foal) $15.00 per day
- Daily rates are due every 14 days until the mare is picked up, and final balance is due upon pick-up. If payment is not received by midnight on day 15, no breedings will occur until payment has been made. If the mare is actively cycling at the time of this situation, the Live Foal Guarantee will be Null and Void and no refund of the full breeding fee will be issued for any reason. Please see your breeding contract for the full literature.
- You can prepay as many days as you would like and we will refund the days you do not use.
Special Monthly Rate
- Dry Mares (no foal) $ 200.00 per 30 day block
- Wet Mares (with foal) $300.00 per 30 day block
- Special Mare Care Rates are due at the time of Drop Off.
- Each block includes up to 30 days of full care, hay, grain, and a paddock with shelter. This also includes 1 ultrasound that will be done by our vet at day 14 after the last day of the stallion covering the mare. You may pick up your mare shortly after the confirmed ultrasound. If the mare is not pregnant, you will be given a choice to short-cycle or wait until she cycles again. We will need to know how you wish to proceed. Daily or another monthly block. Additional ultrasound fee is $65.00.
- Due to the discounted fees, there is no prorating with this package for early pick up.
- Mare must be easy to handle, must be able to load and haul in a trailer safely.
AI (Artificial Insemination)
- Cooled/Shipped - To be handled by Equine Surgery & Medicine, Wichita KS - 316-744-2007 - 3500 E 45th st N Wichita, KS 67220
- Local Pick-up, Onsite Mare insemination offered as well. Sevices must be paid for prior either thru the clinic or thru HBA/CPH
- All AI Payments are due before services will be rendered, CC on file with the Vet Clinic or HBA/CPH
ADDITIONAL FEES TO BE AWARE OF
Due to issues in the past, we have changed up some of our policies.
- KICKING and UNRULY MARES: If the mare is a kicker or a biter and we cannot safely cover, you can choose to end services and pick up the mare within 3 days, or choose to pay the additional fees to have her AI'd by Equine Surgery and Medicine. We can haul and get the job done. Additional fee is due to Equine Surgery and Medicine and non-refundable before hauling. Current pricing is $150 for Ultrasound, Collection, and Insemination. Additional fees may incur for sedation or medication, as recommended. Please be available by phone or on location to discuss options with the vet at the time of the appointment.
- Multiple ultrasounds, treatments prior to breeding, etc, and not local, please consider boarding your mare directly with Equine Surgery and Medicine as I cannot haul the mare in daily to have them perform mutlple treatments prior to breeding. Once she is ready to breed, the vet will call and let me know to bring the Stallion up for collection.

HBA/CPH will not charge a haul-up fee for the first 2 attempts. After the first 2, $25 per load-up will be due prior to hauling the stallion over. I do not keep him at the facility at this time since we are riding/performing during the season and I do live cover at my own facility.
